TRAIN TRESTLE In 1906, the International and Great Northern R.R. Co. built this
steel-span trestle to replace the aging and dangerous iron trestle of 1880.
Because builders reused the picturesque 1880 limestone piers adding new concrete
piers between them, the trestle possesses Austin's oldest remaining bridge foundation.

I found this cool graffiti on the south end of town under the Slaughter Lane Bridge. Austin's Hobo point of entry when riding the rail in from San Antonio.
